Storyboarding and Software Development

June 05, 2008 / by Global Administrator / Share

A storyboard is a visual expression of everything that will be contained in a software application. Gatesix software development approach is based on the principles of business-driven development (BDD) methodology. BDD addresses the need for an effective storyboarding process to address rapidly changing business and project requirements.

Storyboarding was developed specifically to minimize the risks inherent in all software development projects: missed delivery deadlines, exceeded budgets, deliverable ambiguity and client expectations and finally an end product with minimum bugs.

The Gatesix storyboarding process emphasizes teamwork between developers, project managers and the customer. Applications development is done in short, iterative stages. Customers select the key features to be developed in each iteration and larger modules are broken into phases. This enables developers to continually adjust direction and stay focused on customer requirements.
