A lot of clients ask me for tips and tricks to help them maximize their time when using social media as a business tool. One of the concerns I often hear is the tendency for social to become an overly time-consuming nuisance that takes away from their other priorities.
This is a valid concern and there are numerous options – both paid and otherwise – available online to help businesses maximize the time and effort spent on social media. However, for this particular post, I want to keep it practical because the truth is, many business owners cannot afford to pay for the majority of SMM platforms out there. Perhaps in another post we’ll highlight some of the less pocket-friendly options available, but until then, here are three simple tips you can apply today to start promoting Facebook through Twitter.
Link your Facebook page URL on your Twitter profile instead of your website (see Uniqlo).
Create custom wallpaper for your Twitter account highlighting your Facebook URL (see Target).
3. This last one is pretty straight forward but just in case … Always make sure to mention any promotions, specials and contests you’re running on your Facebook page. Use engaging copy to drive your audience to the desired location. After all, everyone loves a chance to win something!
