Recently Gate6 made some updates to the website for Avella Specialty Pharmacy. For those who can’t manage a complete website redesign right now, making a few simple little changes can make a big difference in usability and presentation.
Avella offers prescription referral forms based on the specific doctor specialty. Creating a way for users to easily find and access these forms was critical. We made the following changes to make getting the right form easier for visitors.
- New updates to the specialty pages allow the user to see all prescription forms for that specialty in one place. Previously, users had to find a form from a long drop-down list in the upper right corner of the homepage. If the form selected was not the form the user was looking for, he would have to go back to the previous page and try again until the right one was found. This improves usability and offers a more catered experience for visitors by giving them what they need in as few steps as possible.
We also made a couple of small changes to the medication list page to better meet user needs.
- We added links for patient support information and contact phone numbers in anticipation of the most common user needs. Previously there was a long medication list with only a link to the main website for each medication. Once users were taken to the medication’s website, they would still have to search around to find the help they needed. By having this information on the pharmacy website, users can get support in fewer steps.
