You may remember that the very first iPhone, and subsequent versions, included native YouTube apps. What you may not know is that those versions were all built by Apple, not YouTube. And users had some serious issues with them. Mostly because the video selection was sorely disappointing and the apps searchability left much to be desired.
Now haters can rejoice! YouTube has built their very own, new and improved app for iPhones just in time for the unveiling of the iPhone 5. The new app boasts thousands of official music videos and improved features, including:
- Autocomplete search – much like Google Instant, which shows results as you type
- Channel emphasis – a simple swipe to the left and a list of your subscribed channels pulls up
- Sharability – tap once to post videos to Facebook, Twitter and, of course, Google+
Download the app for FREE from the iTunes store.
