Proven experience as a Database Engineer or Database Administrator.
Strong knowledge of database management systems, SQL, and database design principles.
Knowledge required in SQL Server, My SQL, Postgres, and/or MongoDB desired.
Proficiency in database tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Thorough understanding of database performance monitoring and analysis tools
Familiarity with database security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work with database developers, engineers, and different operations and applications engineering teams
to help them identify, analyze, and resolve database performance issues
Key Responsibilities:
Database Design and Development:
Design and create database schemas and data models that meet the organization's requirements.
Develop and implement database structures, tables, views, and indexes.
Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures.
Database Security:
Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data.
Monitor for security breaches and take corrective actions as needed.
Performance Tuning:
Monitor database performance and identify bottlenecks.
Optimize database queries, indexing,
and caching to improve efficiency.
Implement database performance tuning
best practices.
Maintaining and enhancing the performance of existing database programs.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
Investigate and resolve
database-related issues and errors.
Work with cross-functional teams to
troubleshoot application performance problems.
Optimize, tune, and troubleshoot SQL code.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with software developers to ensure database design aligns
with application requirements.
Work closely with system administrators and network engineers to ensure
smooth database operations.
