What kind of support will I receive throughout the development process?
Gate6 uses a development methodology that we call Earliest Lovable Product (ELP). This methodology is based in part, on the industry standard Agile / SCRUM development methodology. This means that all work on your app is broken down into 2 – 3-week increments called SPRINTS. Project stakeholders work with Gate6 to determine the work being done in each SPRINT, and they get to review that work at the end of the SPRINT as well. This immediate feedback loop continues throughout the project ensuring a finished product that you will love.
How long will it take to build and launch my app?
Every mobile application is different – Different business requirements, different UI/UX requirements, different target audience, etc. For this very reason, the Gate6 team will sit with you to understand your unique requirements and the scope of your project. Can I make changes to my app after it is launched?
Unless you have your own mobile developers on staff, typically you would need Gate6 to make any updates or changes to your mobile application. It is possible for your IT team to handle the push and approval from the app stores, but Gate6 usually handles that as well for expediency. Gate6 will discuss post launch support options that will fit your budget and business needs prior to application launch time. This will give you plenty of time to make an informed decision.
What is the difference between a Hybrid and a Native App development?
The short answer is: Hybrid mobile applications share a consistent UI across both iOS and Android. This means for example; the app will not necessarily look like an iOS app with the standard Apple look and feel. This approach has the advantage of having a single code stream to support both iOS and Android. A Native mobile application is the exact opposite. An iOS application will look like an iOS app. It will have access to iOS hardware and OS capabilities. The same holds true for a Native Android mobile application.
